Here is the transcript for the Empire Radio I did for my business. If you missed the broadcast here is a short read.
Please give a description of your company and the products/services you offer: I offer hypnosis sessions for people that want to make changes in their lives but are stuck. They may be struggling with blockages such as writers block or an athlete who has hit the wall and just can’t break through. I also deal with dissolving habits at a profound level so that the person can make the changes he or she desires. That might be something as common as becoming a non-smoker or overcoming fears.
I use Hypnosis, Neuro Linguistic Programing and Emotional Freedom Technique as taught by Gary Craig in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.
Tell us about your background of your business and yourself.
I taught myself hypnosis in the mid 1950’s when I was in High School. Other kids wanted to know what hypnosis was all about, so I would hypnotize them, then on to college, where I would hypnotize other students. I ended up graduating with honors from an accredited college of hypnosis. I began with phone hypnosis and in 2002 opened an office in the Fresno-Clovis CA area. In 2013 I closed that office and once again doing phone sessions. Interestingly, my office clients told me they got more out of the phone sessions than when they were coming into the office. Moving from a fixed office to phone sessions allowed my wife and me to travel throughout the US in our motorhome and still do good work with my client.
Because I operate strictly by phone, my first session is what I call a consultation and evaluation session. It is a no cost-no obligation session. I explain what hypnosis is and what a person needs to do and what they don’t need to do o experience hypnosis. At the end of that consultation I will do a short relaxation session so the client can evaluate if hypnosis will work for them.
What inspired you to pursue your profession? It’s fun and I enjoy helping people. I have had a good response from those I have been able to help. My clients inspire me to keep learning and doing what I can as a guide for them. Recently I was able to help a person who the doctors told would be bedridden the rest of her life due to a stroke two years before I worked with her. Doctors and therapists had given up on her, but we got her back into PT. About three months into helping her, she called me on my birthday and told me she had a birthday present for me. She told me she had taken three steps in Physical Therapy.
Another client was a high functioning alcoholic and lost all desire for alcohols in just a few sessions and according to his wife remained alcohol free for at least 18-months.
Where do you see yourself in the near future? Right now I am working on two different but related programs, one working with the medical profession and the second with corporations to help employees overcome issues related to work.
